THE KON STORY

Kappa Omicron Nu (KON) is a national honors society that recognizes student leaders and thinkers in the human sciences. It was established in 1990 through consolidation of Omicron Nu (1912) and Kappa Omicron Phi (1922). Once inducted our members have access to scholarships and awards, networking opportunities with alumni, and our campus events.

KON opened its chapter at Cornell University's College of Human Ecology relatively recently. Many of our activities are committed to professional development, social support, and community service to support the college's mission. We work towards representing Human Ecology's diverse approaches to well-being and quality of life, and hope that you can be apart of that!

We send email invitations to qualifying Human Ecology students every February. We invite sophomores, juniors, and seniors who have GPA's in the top 25% of their respective majors.
